I offer a wide ranging consultancy and picture library service, covering all aspects of early Indian & South Asian photography

 

 

• Valuation, cataloguing, advice and identification of photography collections for insurance and sales purposes. I can also arranges sales on commission, or consignment to auction, for rare or unusual items.

 

 

• Stock Image Library. An extensive digital library of early Indian photographs, covering all aspects of life, travel and landscape in India, Ceylon, Burma and the Himalayas. High resolution digital files are available for use as book illustrations, stills for film productions, advertising, and display prints for exhibitions and decor.

 

 

• Advice on period photography for Advertising, Film & TV productions. Supply of finely printed copy period images, especially from India & South Asia, for both set dressing and art direction reference purposes. As a qualified and experienced professional photographer, I can also offer comprehensive practical advice both on early photographic processes, the supply and usage of authentic early photographic studio equipment, and the creation of new 'authentic' period photographs for use as film props.
• Recent film and tv productions that I have provided material for, including early photographs, maps or other period artwork, and historical advice; include the following film & television productions:

 

• Channel 4's major 20 part tv drama production 'Indian Summers'; broadcast in 2015 & 2016

• A BBC documentary on the life of Rudyard Kipling; broadcast in 2015.

• Lectures and audio-visual presentations. I am available to give audio-visual talks and lectures on a wide variety of aspects of Indian Photographic History, well illustrated with fine early images. Ideal for Photographic Societies, Museums, and other similar institutions.

 

• Lantern Slide Shows. I also give live presentations of early Lantern Slides of India; using an original vintage Lantern Slide projector, and lantern slides.
